Box Score DAYTON -- The University of Dayton men's tennis team opened the weekend with a 4-0 sweep over Fordham at the Five Seasons Family Sports Club on Saturday afternoon. The win improves Dayton's record to 12-5, while Fordham is now 8-4 on the season following the loss. Tomorrow will be Senior Day for the Flyers, as they'll host Duquesne at 10 a.m. (ET).
Two quick wins at the bottom half of the doubles lineup clinched the opening point for Dayton, as
Langford Hills and
Joe DeMarco won 6-2 at No. 2, while
Parker Banning and
Lorenzo Rollhauser won at No. 3 by a score of 6-1.
Three straight-set wins in singles play allowed the Flyers to wrap up the 4-0 sweep over the Rams, as
Jordan Benjamin and
Parker Banning both won their matches by a score of 6-2, 6-2 on courts No. 1 and No. 6, respectively.
Steven Karl clinched the match at No. 4 with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Lutwin de Macar.
