DAYTON – Former Flyer cornerback Jon Husted returned to campus to speak to the University of Dayton football team.  Husted, who is months into his service as Ohio's new Lt. Governor, earned All-American honors as a cornerback and kick returner in his time at Dayton.  He was a starter on UD's 1989 NCAA Division III national championship team.
The Flyers are in spring football practice, and Husted spoke to the team on how his experiences as a Flyer football team prepared him for life after graduation.
"We really appreciated Jon taking the time to speak to our team," head coach
Rick Chamberlin said. Â "He did an outstanding job and his talk set a tone that will carry us through spring practice."
Dayton was 6-5 a year ago, and 5-3 in conference. Â Three of UD's losses were to teams that reached the FCS playoffs. Â The Flyer's spring game is on April 14.
