DAYTON -- The University of Dayton baseball team hosted Toledo on Tuesday afternoon in the first of five home games this week for the Flyers and lost by a score of 10-9 at DP&L Stadium. Trace Hatfield hit a two-run home run to put Toledo ahead 10-9 in the top of the ninth and a three up, three down inning in the bottom of the frame sealed the win for the Rockets. Dayton is now 22-18-1 and Toledo is 15-23 with the win.

Hatfield's home run in the top of the ninth completed a comeback for Toledo after trailing 8-1 in the fourth inning.

A leadoff single, followed by a walk and a hit batsman, loaded the bases and Chris Meyers doubled to send in a pair and a sacrifice fly the next at-bat cut the lead to three.

Riley Tirotta opened the inning with a solo shot to left center.

After two of the first three batters of the inning walked, Toledo had the bases loaded with no outs. A fielder's choice drove in the first run of the inning and Darryn Davis singled through the right side to drive in two more.
