Morehead, Ky. – The University of Dayton baseball team fell to Morehead State on Tuesday evening by a score of 8-5. Dayton is now 28-22-1 this season, while Morehead State improves to 34-19, including a 23-2 mark at home. The Flyers will host Fordham this Thursday through Saturday for its final Atlantic 10 Conference series of the season. Dayton already has clinched a spot in next week's conference tournament and is just one game back of VCU for a share of the conference title.

Trailing by a score of 8-4 with one out in the top of the seventh, Dayton had the bases loaded and just one out with
Jay Curtis at the plate representing the tying run. Curtis grounded out into a 5-4-3 inning-ending double play and the Flyers were unable to get back within striking distance from there.

Benjamin Blackwell drove in Wilson with an RBI single to right field.
