DAYTON -- The University of Dayton baseball team wrapped up its regular season on Sunday with an 8-4 loss to Fordham. The game was also Senior Day, and seniors

Ben Hughes and
Bailey Montoya were all honored before the game. Dayton's record on the year falls to 29-24-1 (16-8 A-10), while Fordham improves to 34-22 (15-9 A-10) with the win. The Flyers have earned the No. 3 seed in next week's Atlantic 10 Tournament and they will take on No. 6 Rhode Island on Wednesday, May 22 at 10 a.m. (ET).
KEY MOMENT
After Dayton jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a
Marcos Pujols home run, Fordham scored six unanswered to take a four-run lead heading into the bottom of the seventh, which proved to large a deficit to come back from on Sunday. Only three of Fordham's eight runs scored were charged as earned.

- Marcos Pujols led Dayton with two hits and blasted his third home run of the year and second of the series to put Dayton up 2-0 early.
