DAYTON -- The University of Dayton baseball team wrapped up its regular season on Sunday with an 8-4 loss to Fordham. The game was also Senior Day, and seniors Connor Echols, Tyler Henry, Ben Hughes and Bailey Montoya were all honored before the game. Dayton's record on the year falls to 29-24-1 (16-8 A-10), while Fordham improves to 34-22 (15-9 A-10) with the win. The Flyers have earned the No. 3 seed in next week's Atlantic 10 Tournament and they will take on No. 6 Rhode Island on Wednesday, May 22 at 10 a.m. (ET).

KEY MOMENT
After Dayton jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a Marcos Pujols home run, Fordham scored six unanswered to take a four-run lead heading into the bottom of the seventh, which proved to large a deficit to come back from on Sunday. Only three of Fordham's eight runs scored were charged as earned.

• Marcos Pujols led Dayton with two hits and blasted his third home run of the year and second of the series to put Dayton up 2-0 early.
• Riley Tirotta, Jay Curtis and Takahiro Yamada were the other Flyers responsible for base hits.
