A-10 CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRALÂ BRACKET
Bronx, N.Y. – The University of Dayton baseball team bounced back from a loss to Fordham earlier in the day and locked up a berth in the Atlantic 10 Championship game with a 5-2 win over Davidson on Friday night. Dayton is now 32-25-1 and the Flyers now have the most wins since 2011.
Dayton takes on Fordham in the championship tomorrow with the first game scheduled for noon and a second game taking place 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game if the Flyers win. If Dayton wins, it would be just the second-ever in program history and the first since 2012. The games will both be broadcast on ESPN+, as well as have live stats streams.
KEY MOMENT
Dayton held a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh, but Davidson was threatening with the bases loaded and two outs.
Tyler Henry got out of the jam with no damage done by forcing Ruben Fontes to foul out to the first baseman to end the inning.
