Kosters Has Announced #UDWGOLF’s Complete 2019-20 Schedule

Flyers To Compete In Multiple Similar Tournaments From Previous Year

Dayton, Ohio – Dayton women's golf head coach Sally Kosters has released the 2019-20 schedule. The schedule includes the both the Flyer Challenge and Dayton Flyer Invitational. The team will have the opportunity to compete at a variety of venues and cities this upcoming season including Ypsilanti, Michigan, Kiawah Island, South Carolina, and Orlando, Florida.
 
The fall portion of the Flyers' schedule will kick off with the Flyer Challenge on Sept. 2nd. The Flyers won this event in 2018. Alissa Danielson earned medalist honors at the event with her event-low-round of 74 (+3). After that, UD will then travel west to Yorktown, Indiana for the Ball State Cardinal Classic on Sept. 16-17.
 
Dayton will then be back in action after a couple weeks off when they participate in the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational. This two-day event is held at the Eagle Crest Resort from Sept. 30-Oct 1. After that, they will head down to the Bluegrass state as they compete in the NKU Collegiate Classic. This two-day event is held at the Lassing Point Golf Course in Union, Kentucky from Oct 7-8. The Flyers finished 4th in this tournament last year.
 
The Flyers will conclude its fall schedule on October 14 and 15, with the annual Dayton Flyer Invitational held at NCR Country Club in Kettering. Last year, the Flyers finished in 4th place at their home event and posted a program-low round during the second day of the Invitational.
 
The spring half of the season will get underway in Kiawah Island, South Carolina as the Flyers head down south to compete in the Kiawah Island Classic. The tournament will go from March 1-3. After that, the Flyers will likely compete in another tournament at some point over spring break.
 
Dayton will then head back down to Kentucky to compete in the EKU Colonial Classic from March 30-31. Last year, Ellie Cronin played an incredible three rounds at the Colonial Classic that led her to finishing in 2nd place and earning MAAC Golfer of the Week honors the following week.
 
Following the EKU Colonial Classic, the Flyers will head back west to compete in the Indiana State Invitational. This two-day event in Terre Haute, Indiana will go from April 5-6. Following that, the Flyers will likely compete in a tournament over the Easter Break weekend.
 
After that, the Flyers will head back to Orlando, Florida for the MAAC Championship. Held at the beautiful Disney Magnolia Golf Club, this three-day event will be from April 24-26. Last year, the Flyers finished a program best 2nd place in the tournament. Led by Abby Bitto, Sarah Frazier, and Ellie Cronin the Flyers competed and finished just a collective 17 strokes behind the eventual winner of the tournament.
