SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The University of Dayton volleyball team split its matches against SMU and Kansas State on the first day of the Missouri State Fall Invitational. In this morning's match, Dayton fell to SMU, 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-19), before outlasting Kansas State, 3-2 (19-25, 25-16, 25-22, 21-25, 15-11) in the nightcap.
Dayton is now 4-5 on the season.

Amelia Moore both averaged 1.12 blocks/set over two matches on Friday. Moore recorded six (1-5) as the team collected a team total of 11.0 blocks against SMU

Jamie Peterson tallied 22 kills and a career-high 17 digs in Dayton's win over Kansas State
• 25&11 - junior
Bridget Doherty also posted a double-double against K-State with 25 assists and 11 digs to go along with three service aces

Maura Collins got under 5.62 digs/set on the day, including a match-high 26 against K-State

Dayton will wrap its weekend at the MSU Fall Invitational with a mid-afternoon match against host Missouri State on Saturday. The Flyers and Bears are scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. first serve at Hammons Student Center.
