Women's Soccer Shuts Out Eastern Michigan To Close Out Non-Conference Play

Laney Huber Scored The Game-Winner; Carly Becker Posts Shutout

DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer closed out non-conference play with a 1-0 victory over visiting Eastern Michigan Sunday afternoon at Baujan Field.

The Flyers improve to 2-5-1 overall and the Eagles are 1-4-2 overall.

KEY STATS
•  The Flyers had 25 shots, including outshooting EMU 16-3 in the second half. 
•  Dayton also had 10 shots on goal, the second-highest tally in that category this season for UD. 
•  13 different Flyers took at least one shot, led by freshman Laney Huber's five shots. 
•  Redshirt sophomore Carly Becker recorded a career-high seven saves and she earned her second career shutout for the Flyers. 

KEY MOMENTS
• UD's Huber scored in the 11th minute for the lone goal of the match. She pounced on a rebound shot by Micayla Livingston. 
• The Flyers led 1-0 at halftime.
• Becker made back-to-back-to-back saves in the 43rd minute, starting with a save on a PK to help preserve the shutout.
