Yorktown, Ind. – The University of Dayton women's golf team finished strong at the Ball State Cardinal Classic on Tuesday. After a solid first two rounds, the Flyers came out and hit a 307 on the day. They finished with an overall total of 310 + 306 + 307 = 918 (+54). That was good enough for the Flyers to finish in 6^th place. The Flyers finished with 28 birdies in the tournament.
 
Ellie Cronin had a Top 10 finish in the tournament. She shot a 74 (+3) on Tuesday to finish in the Top 10 for the second time this fall.
 
This 54-hole event was held at The Players Club in Yorktown, Indiana. This Par 72 course is a total of 6,204 yards. Ball State finished in First Place, narrowly edging out IUPUI by 2 strokes.

T59 Alexa Amato* 75 + 77 + 84 = 251 (+35)




COACH'S COMMENT
"The team played three solid rounds, each round better than the next, putting us in better position than we've ever been." said Head Coach Sally Kosters. "That was fun. Again,  Ellie Cronin led the team with her consistent quality play and it was great to see Alex Bozich and Brittney Blaschak shoot career lows of 74. We now have a team where each individual player has had the experience of scoring low. So now, we go into Eastern Michigan with a lot of confidence." 


UP NEXT
Dayton will head to Ypsilanti, Michigan for the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational. The Invitational begins on September 30^th with a shotgun start in the morning.
