BELLBROOK, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's golf team defeated Northern Kentucky, 310 (+26) to 315 (+31), Monday evening in Dayton's Flyer Challenge. The 18-hole match was played at Sugar Valley Golf Club.

Dayton's Ellie Cronin earned Co-medalist honors with her event-low-round of 75 (+4). She shared the honor with Lilly Cook of Northern Kentucky.

"With the entire team returning from last year, we knew we were in position to have a good start to the year." said Sally Kosters. " Today's win is the beginning. Sugar Valley has some holes that can produce big numbers if you are a little off your game, but we were prepared. The team has talent, is deep, and wants to work. This win is a great start." 

UP NEXT
Dayton will travel to Muncie, Indiana to take part in the Cardinal Classic. Ball State is hosting the two-day event at The Players Club at Woodland Trails on Sept. 16-17 with a shotgun start Monday.
