DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team downed No. 14 Michigan, 3-2 (28-26, 23-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-12), in the finale of the Dayton Invitational Saturday night in front of a record crowd at Frericks Center. Sophomore
Jamie Peterson tallied a career-high 27 kills to lead all attackers.
Dayton improves to 3-4 on the season while Michigan ends the weekend at 4-3 overall.

• 2,641 - the #FlyerFaithful showed up in full force, setting a new Frericks Center attendance record of 2,641 - besting last season's record crowd of 2,285 against Ohio State on Sept. 15, 2018

Brooke Westbeld set 28 assists to go with six digs and five kills
• 27 & 10 - along with her career-high 27 kills, Peterson got under 10 digs for the match's only double-double

Alli Papesh also recorded a career high in kills with 18. She also got under eight digs and had three blocks
• 4 & 6 - also career highs for Peterson were her four service aces and six assists

After seven matches in the last nine days, #UDVB will have a short break in action before heading to Springfield, Mo., next weekend for the Missouri State Fall Invitational Sept. 13-14. Dayton will square off against Southern Methodist, Kansas State and host Missouri State at the Bears' Hammons Student Center.
