DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's golf team will open the spring portion of its 2019-20 schedule Monday at the 2020 Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play event. The two-day tournament is being hosted by Ball State at Lake Jovita Country Club in Dade City, Florida, Feb. 10-11. Xavier will be Dayton's first match play opponent.
Both days of competition will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and all rounds will be played on the par 72, 7,153 yard South Course. Live scoring updates will be available via GolfStat.com by

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The two-day event will consist of 54 holes of match play competition. Teams are seeded 1 through 8 based upon Golfstat rankings and then placed into a bracket. All teams are guaranteed three matches with losing teams from the first and second rounds continuing to compete in a consolation bracket. Each team match will consist of six individual matches. Lineup order for each team is based upon individual player Golfweek rankings, with the top-rated player in the No. 1 position and so on.
