Maricocchi, Quigley, Zimmerer Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars

Three Flyers Are Most For Any A-10 Team In Announcement

NORMAN, Okla.  – Three University of Dayton men's golfers – Domenic Maricocchi, Connor Quigley and Hayden Zimmerer – have been named 2020 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status as a Division I golfer, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. 

A senior from Cincinnati, Maricocchi was second on the team with a 73.24 stroke average in 2020.  He hold the UD career record for stroke average 73.72.  A sport management major, he graduated Magna Cum Laude in May.

Quigley was third on the team with a 74.24 stroke average.  The junior from Oakwood, Ohio is a psychology major.

A communications major, Zimmerer is a junior from Louisville.  He had a 75.33 average per round.

The Flyers return seven of nine players from this season's team in 2020-21.
