PITTSBURGH - The University of Dayton volleyball team claimed a straight-set, 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-20), win at Duquesne Friday night to move to 3-0 in Atlantic 10 play. Freshman Lexie Almodovar led the Flyers with her fifth double-double of the season (13K, 10D).

Dayton improves to 9-5 on the season while Duquesne moves to an even 7-7 overall and 2-1 in conference action.

KET STATS
• 18 - senior Maura Collins got under a match-high 18 digs
• 13 - Almodovar led all attackers with a match-high 13 kills
• 9 - senior Jamie Peterson and freshman Alayna Yates each tallied nine kills. Yates posted a .386 hitting percentage to go with five blocks as well
• .257 - as a team, Dayton out-hit Duquesne .257 to .077

UP NEXT
The second half of Dayton's home-and-home with Duquesne will take place Sunday at Frericks Center. First serve is set for 1 p.m. and admission is free. Per current City of Dayton Mask Mandate, fans are required to wear their masks completely over their nose and mouth throughout their time in Frericks Center (including inside the Gym) unless actively eating or drinking. These guidelines are subject to change with current local and state regulations.
