Alayna Yates have been named the
Ohio's CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week for contests during the week of Oct. 4-10.
Chisholm was named PFL Offensive Player of the Week after football's 28-10 win at Drake. He carried the ball 34 times for 144 yards and scored two touchdowns against the Bulldogs. He put the Flyers on his back as the game went on, gaining 13 yards in the first quarter, 19 in the second, 41 in the third, and 71 in the fourth quarter. He carried the ball 14 of Dayton's final 15 plays, gaining 64 yards and rushing for a multiple tackle-breaking touchdown from 10 yards out with 4:05 to go that essentially sealed UD's first road win this year.
Yates helped lead Dayton to a perfect 3-0 week in A-10 play as she averaged 3.18 kills per set and 1.73 blocks per set, earning her A-10 Player of the Week honors. On Thursday, Yates tallied a career-high 14 kills to go with a match-high nine blocks in a win over VCU. In Saturday's sweep of Davidson, she led all attackers with 10 kills while swinging at .562 and also tallied four blocks. Dayton got past Saint Louis, 3-1, Sunday behind 11 Yates kills, while she hit at .529 and recorded six blocks. The middle blocker from Cedar Falls, Iowa, scored 4.09 points per set and posted a .458 hitting percentage.
