DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team finished the UD Hidden Dual on Saturday after a singles match against Xavier and doubles matches versus Northern Kentucky and IUPUI.

The Flyers opened the day against the Musketeers, taking four singles matches from Xavier. Sophomore
Ronit Hiryur won by retirement after taking the first set against Ryan Cahill 6-2. UD also tallied wins from all three seniors, with senior
Will Harper taking his match against Brett Winters in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
Steven Karl and
Joe DeMarco each bounced back after dropping their first sets to earn their first victories of the year. Karl won against Cambell Nakayama 2-6, 6-3, 10-6 while DeMarco defeated Nick Loudermilk 4-6, 6-3, 10-4.

Dayton followed that up by taking two of three doubles matches against IUPUI. Juniors
Connor Bruce and
Matt DeMarco took down Colton Morehart and Noah Viste 6-2. Hiryur and junior
Georgi Mavrodiev earned the team's second win of the day over the Jaguars by the same 6-2 score against Sean Bailey and Will Thurin.

UD finished the event against NKU in doubles play, again taking two of three from the Norse. Bruce paired this time with junior
Max DeCurtins, beating Emilien Burnel and Tom Berry 6-3. Harper and Karl finished their perfect day with a win in doubles play over Vincent Knott and Santiago Casamayor 6-4.

The Flyers will finish the fall season at the Cleveland Invitational from Oct. 29-31.
