RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Dayton volleyball team outlasted Atlantic 10 rival VCU, 3-2 (23-25, 25-18, 25-20, 22-25, 15-11), in a five-set battle Friday night at the Rams' Siegel Center. Dayton sits atop A-10 standings with an unblemished 10-0 mark in conference games.
Dayton improves to 17-5 on the season and 10-0 in league match-ups while VCU moves to an even 11-11 for the year and 6-3 in A-10 contests.
KET STATS
• 50 & 10 - sophomore
Livie Sandt recorded the 50-assist, 10-dig double-double - her fourth of the season and second time she has reached the 50-assist mark this year
• 26 & 13 - senior
Jamie Peterson posted her fifth double-double of the season with a match-high 26 kills to go with 13 digs
• 16 - freshman
Lexie Almodovar was second on the team with 16 kills and was one dig off a double-double
• 16 - senior
Maura Collins got under a team-high 16 digs, one of four Flyers in double-digit digs
• 12 - as a team, the Flyers tallied 12.0 blocks led by sophomore
Amelia Moore with six and Sandt with a career-high five
• 11 - Dayton extended its winning streak to 11 matches
• 10 - Moore was the third Flyer in double-digit kills with 10
