HAMILTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's tennis team fell Saturday afternoon on the road at Miami (Ohio) 7-0.

The loss puts Dayton's record at 1-4 in 2021. Coming off a win on Friday against IUPUI, the Flyers failed to find much success against the RedHawks. UD dropped the doubles points as sophomore
Erica Wojcikiewicz and junior
Natalie Stanton fell in No. 2 doubles and Miami (Ohio) clinched the point with a win in No. 3 doubles over senior
Kelly Pleiman and freshman
Julia Bays.

Paige Kompa and
Elizabeth Hamilton had a lead in No. 1 doubles, but it went unfinished after the RedHawks clinched the point.

UD also fell in singles play as Miami (Ohio) took every singles point, defeating Kompa, Wojcikiewicz, Hamilton, Pleiman, Stanton and junior
Claire Ghidotti.

The Flyers will return home next weekend with two matches, the first coming against Illinois State on Saturday Feb. 20 at 2:30 p.m. at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg.
