FAIRBORN, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team held on for the 3-2 (25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-13) at Wright State Tuesday night at the Raiders'  McLin Gymnasium. Junior 
Jamie Peterson recorded a career-high 28 kills to lead all attackers to go with 10 digs for her first double-double of the season.
Dayton improves to 2-1 on the season while Wright State moves to 6-1 overall.
KEY STATS
• 54-17-6-4 - senior 
Bridget Doherty had herself a career night: 54 assists, 17 digs, six kills, four blocks - all career highs
• 27 - junior 
Maura Collins got under a match-high 27 digs, one of four Flyers with double-digit digs
• 16 - freshman 
Lexie Almodovar equaled her career high with 16 kills while freshman 
Alayna Yates added a career-high 12 kills
• 13.0 - as a team, Dayton tallied 13.0 blocks to Wright State's 5.0. Yates and graduate student 
Mahalia Swink had seven blocks apiece
• Wright State was led by Celia Powers with 17 kills and Jenna Story with 19 digs

Dayton's Friday afternoon match at VCU has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols. No make-up date has been announced. The Flyers are set to open the home portion of their season on Friday, Feb. 26 as they welcome the Dukes of Duquesne.
