DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team plays its final home game of the regular season Saturday, hosting Saint Louis at 2 p.m. for what will be Senior Day at UD Arena.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton continues its winning streak and is now 12-1 on the year and 11-0 in Atlantic 10 play. The Flyers are 5-1 at home this year and have won 11 games in a row.
Head coach
Shauna Green is in her fifth season in charge of the Flyers and was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year last season, her second time at UD. She is just one win away from career win No. 100 at Dayton.
As a team, the Flyers are averaging 67.0 points per game and holding opponents to 54.3 points, which ranks 34th in the country for best scoring margin. UD is shooting 42.8 percent overall, 35.6 percent from three, and 68.6 percent from the free throw line. The Flyers are outrebounding opponents by a +11.4 margin.
Dayton is led by redshirt senior
Erin Whalen with 13.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game and fellow senior
Jenna Giacone with 12.8 points per contest. They will be joined by senior guard
Araion Bradshaw and be recognized after Saturday's game.
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis comes to Dayton with a 9-3 record on the season and 7-3 A-10 mark. The Billikens return after being paused and have won five games in a row. SLU is 4-0 away from home this year as well.
Head coach Lisa Stone is in her 35th year overall and in her ninth season at Saint Louis.
This year, the Billikens are scoring 66.7 points per game and holding opponents to 60.8 points each contest. SLU is shooting 38.9 percent from the field, 31.2 percent from behind the arc, and 70.1 percent from the charity stripe. SLU has a +4.9 rebounding margin, but a -1.6 turnover margin.
Leading SLU is A-10 Player of the Year candidate Ciaja Harbison, who is averaging 17.9 points and 4.1 assists each outing. Rachel Kent is chipping in 12.8 points while Myraima Smith Traore is adding 10.1 points and 8.9 boards per game.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton battled VCU Sunday in a rematch of last year's title game and the Flyers came back from down 11 to earn a 67-62 victory on national television.
Erin Whalen hit five threes for a team-high 21 points.
Saint Louis defeated Richmond at home Sunday, 62-57, their fifth win in a row. Ciaja Harbison had 18 points and 12 assists in the contest.
THE SERIES
Dayton and Saint Louis have played 44 times previously with the Flyers winning 34 meetings. Earlier this season, UD went to SLU and earned a victory in overtime, 59-52.
STATISTICAL RANKINGS
This season the Flyers rank eighth in the nation in field goal percentage defense and ninth in rebounding margin. Dayton is also 14th in scoring defense as well. Individually,
Tenin Magassa ranks 14th in the country in blocked shots per game.
PRESEASON POLL
Dayton was picked to finish second in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll behind conference favorites VCU and ahead of Saint Louis, Davidson, Duquesne, and Fordham. The Flyers received two first-place votes.

FLYERS IN REGULAR SEASON LEAGUE PLAY
Dayton has won 125 of its last 151 regular season Atlantic 10 games (.827), a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, and includes a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season.
THREE POINTS OF EXCELLENCE
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 614 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
OFF TO A HOT START
Dayton has found much success under Coach Green in the month of January, going 34-2 in her first five seasons as head coach of the Flyers. That includes going undefeated in four of her five seasons.

Since the 2009-10 season, Dayton is 172-21 (.895) when scoring 70 or more points, including 11-1 in 2016-17. During the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, the Flyers only lost one game per season when scoring at least 70 points, and dropped only two games in 2019-20 when reaching that mark.
