DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (3-3-1 overall, 0-1-1 Atlantic 10) came up just short of an upset bid over No. 22 Saint Louis (7-1-0 overall, 2-0-0 A-10) Thursday afternoon at Baujan Field. The Billikens scored in the 107th minute to prevail 3-2 in double overtime.
KEY STATS
•  Saint Louis held a 6-2 advantage on shots in the first 45 minutes. In the second half the shots were even 8-8.
•  The Billikens had a slight edge on corner kicks, 3-1.
•  Dayton had 16 fouls to just 10 called on Saint Louis. There were no cards shown in the match.

Kara Camarco dropped the pass to Gemelli who finished with a rocket to the upper far post. Â
•  The Billikens' Lyndsey Heckel scored in the 4th minute off a cornerkick from Hannah Friedrich. Abbie Miller of Saint Louis scored in the 59th minute on a PK to put SLU up, 2-1.
•  Gemelli scored again in the 69th minute to tie it up off the assist from Sheldon who dribbled all the way to the end line and put a square pass back into the box. Gemelli finished it near post under the keeper.
•  Miller scored the game-winning, golden goal off a cornerkick from Friedrich in the 107th minute.
