PITTSBURGH - The University of Dayton volleyball team picked up its eighth-straight win Friday night with a sweep (25-16, 25-13, 25-15) of Duquesne. The Atlantic 10 match was played at the Dukes' recently renovated UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Lexie Almodovar each contributed a match-high 11 kills for the Flyers. Dayton improves to 8-1 on the season and 5-1 in league play while Duquesne falls to 1-7 overall and 1-7 in A-10 matches as well.
KEY STATS
• .400 - in addition to tallying 11 kills, both Peterson and Almodovar posted a .400 hitting percentage for the match
• 10.5 - as a team, Dayton recorded 10.5 blocks while Duquesne had 7.0 as a team

Dayton will stay in Pittsburgh to play its third and final match of the season against Duquesne. First serve between the Flyers and Dukes is set for 4 p.m. Saturday at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
