DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team posted its seventh-consecutive straight-set win Friday night with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-14, 25-11) victory over visiting Saint Louis at Frericks Center. With the win, Dayton is now 7-1 in league matches and sits atop the Atlantic 10 Conference standings with one match left to play in the regular season.

With Friday's win, Dayton improves to 10-1 overall, extending its winning streak to 10 matches, and 7-1 in A-10 play while Saint Louis moves to 8-9 overall and 6-3 in league games.

KEY STATS
• 28 - senior Bridget Doherty set a match-high 28 assists to go with eight digs and a match-high three blocks
• 14 - junior Jamie Peterson was the only attacker in double-digit kills with 14 to go with six digs
• 13 - as a team, the Flyers served up a total of 13 aces led by Peterson with four
• 12 - junior Maura Collins got under a match-high 12 digs for the Flyers

UP NEXT
Dayton will close out the regular season at home with a match against Saint Louis Saturday. First serve between the Flyers and Billikens is set for 5 p.m. at Frericks Center. Dayton senior Bridget Doherty will be recognized following the match during a senior tribute ceremony.

Based on campus and local COVID-19 protocols and capacity restrictions, Dayton home athletic events will not be open to the general public. Limited seating is available to guests of Dayton student-athletes (names must be on a pass list for admission). Currently, visiting team fans are not permitted in/at the facility. Additionally, attendance at Dayton home athletic events will be socially distanced and fans are required to wear masks.
