MARIETTA, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's rowing team opened the season with a dual race at Marietta College Saturday, March 27.
The Flyers V8+ of

Elizabeth Myers,
Angie Loriso,
Osa Wheeler,
Maggie Cahill,
Kaitlyn Jimison,
Lauren Myers, and
Elli Ertl won their 2k race in 6:32.0.
The Dayton V4+ of
Emmi Amaral (coxswain),
Jessie Stranen,
Gabby Snyder,
Abigail Minzler, and
Emily Mann had its race cut short due to a paddle-wheeler on the course.
"The team was excited to line-up with another crew and race! Considering the number of practices, the racing went very well," said head coach
Michael Wenker. "Each boat has something to work on over the next two weeks as we prepare to race Eastern Michigan University on April 11."
