DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team is set to open the road portion of its Atlantic 10 schedule this weekend with four games at Saint Louis. The Flyers and Billikens will play back-to-back doubleheaders April 2 & 3 with first pitch set for 1 p.m. ET both days at Billiken Sports Center in St. Louis.
Both games on Friday will be streamed via ESPN+. All four games in the series will be available via live stats.

SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis (5-18, 0-4 A-10) opened A-10 Conference place last weekend with four games at George Washington. The Billikens dropped all four contests to the Colonials, three of which ended after five innings. On Tuesday, Saint Louis hosted Missouri, falling to the visiting Tigers, 10-4. Kat Lane leads the Billikens' offense with a .329 average on the strength of a team-high 24 hits including two doubles and two triples and, on the base paths, Gabbie Kowalik is a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases. In the circle for SLU, Audrey Hacke (4-7) carries the team's low ERA of 3.48 over 62.1 innings pitched. She has tallied 32 strikeouts to 19 walks and has worked four complete games for the Billikens.

Dayton (9-12, 4-0 A-10) is coming off a 4-0 outing at home against St. Bonaventure in the Flyers' opening weekend of conference play. Junior
Alyssa Cacini knocked out a total of four home runs and batted three doubles on the weekend for the Flyers. On the season, UD has four players carrying a .300+ batting average led by freshman
Megan Ward (.389) how has collected a team-high 28 hits while also going 6-for-8 in stolen bases. Senior
Abby Ehrenborg leads the team with seven home runs and 20 RBI and Cacini has notched a team-best seven doubles. Freshman
Addy Bullis (5-3) leads the Flyer pitching corps with a team-low 1.92 ERA over 51.0 innings pitched and has collected a team-high 47 strikeouts to 10 walks.
ATLANTIC 10 FORMAT
The Atlantic 10 will be divided into two divisions with five teams in each regionally-based pod. Dayton will be competing in the central division which also features George Mason, St. Bonaventure, Saint Louis and George Washington. The north division is made up of Fordham, La Salle, Saint Joseph's, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Also new to the 2021 Atlantic 10 schedule is that conference series have moved from three to four-game series, featuring doubleheaders each day of the two-day series.
