DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team will be heading to Indianapolis for a single non-conference game at Butler Wednesday. First pitch between the Flyers and Bulldogs is set for 4 p.m. at Butler Softball Field.

SCOUTING BUTLER
Butler (13-15) is scheduled to play a single game against Ball State Tuesday afternoon ahead of it matchup with Dayton on Wednesday. Last week, the Bulldogs were tripped up, 6-3, by the RedHawks of Miami (Ohio). Butler is 5-7 in Big East play and mostly recently picked up a three-game sweep of conference foe St. John's. The Bulldogs' offense is led by Lauren Fey who carries a team-best .422 average on the strength of 35 hits and she has scored 15 runs. In the circle, Karli Ricketts (8-5) has worked a team-high 79.0 innings while tallying 96 strikeouts.
ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (11-20) is currently battling through a seven-game losing streak and looks to get back in the winning column at Butler on Wednesday. The Flyers are coming off an 0-4 weekend in Washington, D.C., against the Colonials of George Washington who currently sit in first place in the A-10 Central Division standings. Dayton currently has five players hitting above .300 led by freshman
Megan Ward (.400) who has tallied a team-high 42 hits and scored a team-best 18 runs. Senior
Abby Ehrenborg (.307) has knocked out a team-best 11 home runs and senior
Briley Sidor (.316) is a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen bases. Freshman
Addy Bullis (6-5) leads the Flyers' pitching corps with a team-low 2.23 ERA while recording a team-best 54 strikeouts and working five complete games.
