DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team is set to host Eastern Kentucky for a single game Wednesday. First pitch between the Flyers and Colonels is set for 2 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium on April 28.

SCOUTING EASTERN KENTUCKY
Eastern Kentucky (30-11) is currently enjoying a five-game winning streak including a three-game sweep of Ohio Valley Conference foe Tennessee Tech Sunday and Monday. With its 21-5 mark in league play, EKU sits atop OVC standings. The Colonels' offense is led by Sammi Miller who carries a .424 average on the strength of a team-high 53 hits, including 11 doubles, and she is 15-for-16 in stolen bases. In the circle for EKU, Mollie Paulick is a perfect 10-0 with the team's low ERA of 1.41 and she has collected a team-best 65 strikeouts.
ABOUT DAYTON
Dayton (15-21) is coming off a bye week in Atlantic 10 Conference action but the Flyers have won their last four contests. Dayton swept its A-10 series with George Mason at UD Softball Stadium April 17-18 and the Flyers are in second place in the A-10 Central division with a 10-6 league mark. Freshman

ATTENDANCE AT UD SOFTBALL STADIUM
Based on campus and local COVID-19 protocols and capacity restrictions, Dayton home athletic events will not be open to the general public. Limited seating is available to guests of Dayton student-athletes (names must be on a pass list for admission). Currently, visiting team fans are not permitted in/at the facility. Additionally, attendance at Dayton home athletic events will be socially distanced and fans are required to wear masks.
