DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team has claimed the program's 14th Atlantic 10 Championship title with a 3-0 (25-15, 26-24, 25-19) win over No. 2 VCU in Saturday's finals match. Dayton earns the A-10's automatic berth to the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Dayton improves to 13-1 on the season while VCU moves to 13-5 overall.

KEY STATS
• 50 - as a team, Dayton tallied 50 kills to VCU's 34, the second-most kills by UD in a three-set match this season (53 at Xavier)
• 14 - junior Jamie Peterson led all attackers with 14 kills. She was one off the double-double with nine digs to go with five assists and two blocks
• 10 & 8 - sophomore Amelia Moore was the second Flyer with double-digit kills (10) and led UD at the net with eight total blocks
• .636 - with seven kills in 11 attempts, senior Bridget Doherty posted a .636 hitting percentage while also setting 34 assists for the match

NCAA TOURNAMENT INFO
The 2020-21 DI Women's Volleyball Selection Selection Show is on ESPNU at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 4, which is when the field of 48 teams will be announced for this season's championship. The first round is Wednesday, April 14 , and the second round will be April 15. Regional semifinals are Sunday, April 18, and the regional finals April 19. The national semifinals are Thursday, April 22, with the 2021 national championship on April 24. The tournament will be held at the Chi Health Center Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.
