Men’s Soccer Suffers First Loss Of Season

The Flyers Fell 3-0 At Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The University of Dayton men's soccer team was defeated on the road Friday night 3-0 at Western Michigan.

The Flyers (3-1-1) suffered their first loss of the season while the Broncos (2-2-1) picked up their second win at home.

GAME RECAP
  • Western Michigan jumped out to an early lead with a goal in the first minute of the game to put Dayton down early, 1-0.
  • The Broncos then doubled their lead in the 38th minute to put the Flyers down 2-0.
  • WMU sealed the game with a final goal in the 60th minute.
  • Dayton was led by Eren Elbustu and Michael Adedokun with two shots each.
  • Goalkeeper Marc Kouadio had three saves.
  • The Flyers had 18 players appear in Friday's game.
COACH'S COMMENT
"All credit goes to WMU tonight," said head coach Dennis Currier. "They outclassed us in all categories and deserved the win. I am confident we will respond with a relentless approach to the next game."
