ROCHESTER, Mich. – The University of Dayton men's soccer team dropped its second-straight game with a 3-0 loss at Oakland Wednesday morning.
The Flyers (3-2-1) were unable to get on the scoresheet while the Grizzlies (2-2-1) won their second game in a row.
GAME RECAP
- Dayton trailed early on as Oakland scored the opening goal in the 19th minute.
- The Grizzlies doubled their lead with another goal in the 55th minute, putting the Flyers in a two-goal hole.
- Oakland struck again in the 80th minute to put the game out of reach for Dayton.
- The Flyers finished with 14 shots, three on target, while the Grizzlies had 16, eight on goal.
- Senior Jake Feiner led Dayton with five shots and put two on frame.
- Goalkeeper Marc Kouadio had five saves.
COACH'S COMMENTS
"We fell short of our expectations today and did not react to the adversity well with the game change," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "Defensively, we struggled both individually and collectively as a group."
