DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team dropped a 3-2 (18-25, 13-25, 25-18, 25-23, 16-14) decision to visiting Wright State Friday night in UD's first match of the 2021 Flyer-Raider Invitational. The match was played at Frericks Center.
Dayton moves to 2-4 on the season while Wright State improves to 6-2 overall after defeating Central Michigan, 3-0, at home earlier in the day.
KEY STATS
• 52 & 17 - sophomore
Livie Sandt recorded her first career double-double with a career-high 52 assists and a career-high 17 digs
• 27 - senior
Jamie Peterson led all attackers with a season-high 27 kills, just one off her career high
• 25 - senior
Maura Collins got under a match-high-tying 25 digs
• 15.0 - as a team, Dayton recorded 15.0 blocks, led by sophomore
Amelia Moore and freshman
Alayna Yates with seven blocks apiece
• 12 & 13 - freshman
Lexie Almodovar posted her third double-double of the season with 12 kills and 13 digs
• 11 - freshman
Anna Wuensch passed a career-high 11 digs

Dayton will head over to Wright State's McLin Gymnasium Saturday for a 12 p.m. match-up against Illinois State and will wrap up the weekend at home against Central Michigan Saturday night at 7 p.m. Please
