WASHINGTON, D.C. - The University of Dayton volleyball team defeated George Washington 3-1 (25-19, 25-20, 22-25, 25-18) in both teams' Atlantic 10 opener Friday night at GW's Smith Center. Freshman
Lexie Almodovar led all attackers with 14 kills to go with a career-high five service aces in the Flyers win.
Dayton improves to 7-5 on the season and 1-0 in A-10 play while George Washington moves to 0-12 overall and 0-1 in league action.

• 16 - as a team, Dayton recorded 16 service aces lead by Almodovar with a career-high five aces
• 14 - Almodovar posted double-digit kills for the eighth time this season

Alyssa Miller tallied a career-high 12 assists
