Women's Soccer Wins Second Straight in Sunday Thriller

Dayton Nets Late Winner To Climb to 2-1 in A-10

DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team closed out their two-match homestand on Sunday, as they welcomed the Davidson Wildcats to Baujan Field for a Sunday afternoon matinee. The Flyers owned the majority of possession throughout the match, and came out with a double-overtime victory to run their winning streak to two matches.

KEY MOMENT
Dayton possessed the ball 58% of the time, but found difficulties with the back end of the Davidson defense for most of the match. The Wildcats played a very defensive style throughout the match, but the Flyers still managed to own a 16-1 shot advantage for the match as a whole. Alicia Donley was the leading shot-taker for the Flyers, registering five for the match, three on the Wildcats frame. Dayton would finally get the break-through they were looking for in the 107th minute of double overtime, as Marlee Taylor settled down a Jessica Sheldon pass, and lofted a beauty of a goal over the Davidson keeper's head into the back of the net to give the Flyers the golden goal victory.
