PHILADELPHIA, PA – The University of Dayton women's soccer team headed back on the road Thursday night, as they were in Philadelphia to take on the Saint Joseph's Hawks. In a roller coaster match, the Flyers were able to get a late winner from Itala Gemelli to come out on top 3-2.
 
KEY MOMENT
After getting first half goals from Laney Huber and Itala Gemelli, the Flyers went into the locker room at the half in a 2-2 tie. The Hawks took advantage of their three shots in the first frame, getting two past Madelyn Dewey to keep the match close until late in the second half. Dayton would get the breakthrough they were looking for in the 67th minute, as Itala Gemelli took a great pass from Laney Huber, and slotted the game winning goal into the lower left corner of the net.
