MIAMISBURG, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's tennis team defeated Northern Kentucky 5-2 on Friday afternoon at South Regency Tennis Center. The Flyers won the doubles point as well as four different singles matchups.

"I'm super proud of our girls today," head coach Erica Echko said. "It was a great team victory. We got off to a fast start in doubles and won a huge point at 5-4 after losing our 5-0 lead. Sarah DeMarco and Laura Greb stepped up and won 6-2 at third doubles, which was a spot we struggled with the first three matches. Erica Wojcikiewicz had a tremendous clinch at two against a tough opponent and we're happy to beat NKU after losing the last four years."

Greb and DeMarco got the match started with their win on Court Three, marking the first time in 2022 No. 3 doubles has gone to the Flyers. Juniors Elizabeth Hamilton and Erica Wojcikiewicz clinched the doubles point with a win in No. 2 doubles to put Dayton ahead 1-0.
