DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team posted straight-set sweep of Duquesne, 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-17), Tuesday night at Frericks Center in Atlantic 10 action. Sophomore Lexie Almodovar tallied a match-high 21 kills to lead the Flyers in the win.

Dayton improves to 9-9 on the season and 3-2 in conference games while Duquesne moves to 3-14 overall and 0-5 in league matches.

KEY STATS
40 - sophomore Alyssa Miller set a career-high 40 assists
21 - Almodovar posted her third 20+-kill match of the season while swinging at a season-best .425
10 - sophomore Brooke Smith recorded a career-high 10 kills in her third match as a Flyer
.500 - junior Amelia Moore tallied eight kills while swinging at .500

UP NEXT
Dayton will spend the next two weekends on the road beginning with two games at George Mason Oct. 7 and 8. The Flyers and Patriots will square off Friday at 6 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. tilt on Saturday. Both matches will be played at Mason's Recreation Athletic Complex.
