FAIRFAX, Va. - The University of Dayton volleyball team picked up a 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 29-27) win in Atlantic 10 action at George Mason Friday night. Sophomore
Brooke Smith led all attackers with her career high 11 kills.
Dayton improves to 10-9 on the season and 4-2 in conference matches while George Mason moves to 5-12 overall and 1-5 in league games.
KEY STATS
11 - as a team, Dayton served up 11 aces for the match led by sophomore
Alyssa Miller with a career-high four
11 - for the second-consecutive match, Smith tallied double-digit kills
10 - senior
Grace Dynda got under a match-high 10 digs to go along with seven kills, four blocks and three aces
6 - sophomore
Alayna Yates led the Flyer block with six (1-5)
UP NEXT
Dayton and George Mason will close out their two-game series Saturday afternoon. First serve between the Flyers and Patriots is set for 3 p.m. at Mason's Recreation Athletic Complex.
