DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team claimed the Senior Day straight-set sweep of Rhode Island Saturday as
Grace Dynda and
Livie Sandt played their final game at Frericks Center. The Flyers downed the Rams 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-12).
Dayton ends its 2022 regular season with an overall record of 18-13 with a 12-6 mark in Atlantic 10 Conference matches. Rhode Island's season comes to an end with a 6-25 win-loss record and a 2-16 tally in league games.
KEY STATS
12.5 - junior
Amelia Moore led all players with 12.5 points in the match - match-high nine kills, three assisted blocks, one solo block and one service ace
11 - as a team, Dayton served up 11 aces, compared to Rhode Island's three, led by sophomore
Anna Wuensch with four
8 - Wuensch led all passers in the match with eight digs

Lexie Almodovar was second on the team with eight kills
UP NEXT
Dayton will head to St. Louis next weekend to take part in the 2022 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship, the program's 23rd-consecutive and 26th overall appearance in the post-season league tournament. The Flyers have earned the third seed and will play the sixth seeded team at 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 18 in first-round action.
