DAYTON  - The University of Dayton women's soccer team defeated the Davidson Wildcats in the Atlantic 10 Championship Semifinal Wednesday night at Baujan Field.

The Flyers (16-3-1) move on to the A-10 title game Sunday while the Wildcats (13-3-4) end their season.

KEY MOMENT

• Final 10 minutes – With a 1-0 lead, the Flyers dug in defensively and fended off any Wildcat attack, holding on for the victory.

SCORING BREAKDOWN

• 23:02 – Junior Diana Benigno scored her second goal of the season, unassisted.

• Dayton out-shot Davidson 15-8 in the contest.
• The Flyers had a 6-1 corner kick advantage.
• Junior Itala Gemelli had a team-high five shots while seniors Laney Huber and Marlee Taylor had two each.
• Goalkeeper Batoul Reda had five saves in the effort, recording her sixth shutout of the season.
• This will be the first A-10 Championship appearance since 2016.
