RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Dayton men's soccer team defeated VCU Friday night in the Atlantic 10 Quarterfinals to advance in the conference tournament.
The Flyers (10-2-4) continue their postseason run while handing the Rams (3-8-6) a loss for the second time this season.

nd half – The Flyers pushed the tempo in the second half and had numerous chances to take the lead before the decisive goal in the last two minutes.
SCORING BREAKDOWN
- 88:50 – Sophomore Michael Adedokun drilled the free kick just outside the box to the top corner to give Dayton the lead with just over a minute to play.

- Dayton dominated possession, controlling the ball 62 percent of the time to VCU's 38 percent.
- The Flyers out-shot the Rams 25-6, putting six on target.
- Goalkeeper Dario Caetano had one save and earned his seventh shutout of the season.

"The team battled hard tonight which you have to do in the postseason to earn a result," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "It is difficult to break down VCU's low block, but we did a great job putting pressure on them all night. It was a great team effort."
