Men's Soccer Travels To Saint Louis Wednesday For A-10 Semifinals

Kick-off Is At 8 p.m. ET With A Trip To The A-10 Title Game On The Line

DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team will continue its postseason run by taking on the top-seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship tournament Saint Louis University on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. ET in the A-10 Semifinals.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton enters the game with another 10-win season, sitting at 10-2-4 overall. The Flyers were 3-2-3 in A-10 play this season and needed a win at VCU their last outing to end a two-game losing skid.

Head coach Dennis Currier is in his 18th season in charge of the Flyers and was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year for the 2020 season.

As a team, the Flyers are averaging 2.38 goals per game and holding opponents to just 0.88 goals each outing. Dayton is out-shooting opposing squads 22.3 to 8.2 attempts per contest, but at a lower percentage.

UD is led by senior Forster Ajago with seven goals and three assists for 17 points in 15 games. Fellow seniors Andy Sanchez and Manny Day have chipped in five goals each while freshman Joseph Melto Quiah and sophomore Michael Adedokun are tied with a team-high five assists. Junior goalkeeper Dario Caetano has seven shutouts and all 16 starts between the posts.

The Billikens are scoring 2.19 goals each outing and giving up 1.25 goals to opponents. SLU is narrowly out-shooting opposing squads 13.4 to 12.1, but at a vastly higher percentage.

LAST OUTING
Dayton advanced to the A-10 Semifinals after earning a late victory at VCU last Friday. Adedokun scored the game-winning goal with just 1:18 remaining in regulation to keep their postseason hopes alive.

Saint Louis earned a 1-0 victory at home Saturday to move on to the A-10 semifinals as well after a goal in the fifth minute from C.J. Coppola. That would be all the Billikens would need in the game.
