DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's tennis team will host Youngstown State on Friday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg.

The Flyers have won each of their past four matches, taking every point in three of those contests. UD will also look to extend its home winning streak to 17 straight wins in Dayton.

Last weekend, Dayton took down IUPUI 7-0, leading to a clean sweep of the weekly Atlantic 10 honors. Junior
Connor Bruce won his 30
th career singles match and paired with senior
Will Harper to win in doubles play as well, earning him Atlantic 10 Player of the Week. Freshman
Eric Perkowski took Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive time, making him the only person to earn the award on the men's side in 2022.

The Flyers took all 12 sets during singles play, with sophomore
Ronit Hiryur winning his team-leading ninth match of the season in the victory over the Jaguars.

Youngstown State will enter the match 0-2 after dropping two matches on the road last weekend at Delaware and Navy. The Penguins feature Laurentiu Mandocescu, who has played at the top singles flight in each of the first two matches of 2022 after finishing 14-7 in 2021. Clement Mainguy has been a staple at No. 6 singles, winning both of his matches and leading the team with 10 wins so far this season.

The Flyers are 7-3 against Youngstown State dating back to 2005, and won the match last season against the Penguins 4-3 on Feb. 12, 2021 at South Regency, with
Connor Bruce clinching the match for the Flyers at the top singles flight.
