th win in the careers of
Will Harper and
Steven Karl, tying Jordan Benjamin and Lorenzo Rollhauser as the winningest Flyers in program history.

The Flyers improve to 10-5 this season, while Northern Kentucky falls to 4-3 in 2022. Dayton opened the match by dropping the doubles point to the Norse. Harper and junior Conner Bruce took home the win in No. 2 doubles, defeating Jorge Rodriguez and Tom Berry 6-4, but NKU took No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to put Dayton down 1-0 early.

Dayton would bounce back during singles play, taking four of five completed singles matches. Bruce took the top court for the Flyers, winning against Emilien Burnel in three sets 6-3, 6-7, 6-2 in No. 1 singles.

Junior
Matt DeMarco also won in three sets, knocking off Jorge Rodriguez after dropping the first set in a 6-7, 7-6, 6-3 decision in No. 2 singles.

Harper was the only straight-set winner for the Flyers, beating Tom Berry 6-4, 6-0 in the third singles flight. NKU took No. 4 singles, but sophomore
Erik Eliasson clinched the match for Dayton in No. 5 singles, beating Santiago Casamayor 7-6, 3-6, 7-6 to give UD the fourth and deciding point to take the match.

Karl and Harper will look to become the winningest Flyers in Dayton men's tennis history on Thursday, March 17 at Belmont. That match is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. at Belmont Tennis Complex in Nashville.
