PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The University of Dayton women's tennis team completed a 2-0 weekend against conference opponents with a 5-2 win over Duquesne on Sunday at Alpha Tennis & Fitness of Pittsburgh. Junior 
Elizabeth Hamilton won her 20
th career doubles match in the win.
 
The Flyers improve to 9-8 and 2-2 in conference play with the win, while Duquesne falls to 6-8 overall and 1-1 against A-10 opponents with the loss.

Sarah DeMarco and freshman 
Neena Katauskas opened the day with a 6-0 win in No. 3 doubles. Duquesne took the top doubles flight before Hamilton and junior 
Paige Kompa clinched the point with a 6-2 win in No. 2 doubles over Priyanka Mitta and Meredith Lee.
 
Dayton took four of six singles matches from the Dukes as well, with Katauskas winning her team-leading 12
th match of the season in No. 3 singles. The reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week beat Ana Utrilla Benito 6-1, 6-4 to put the Flyers up 2-0.
 
Duquesne tied the match with wins on Courts One and Four, but the Flyers responded by taking the final three points to secure a 5-2 win.
 
Hamilton finished a 2-0 day with a win over Ellen Shanahan in three sets. The junior dropped the first set in No. 2 singles but rallied to take the next two sets to give Dayton a 3-2 lead.
 
Kompa clinched the match for the Flyers in No. 5 singles, taking down Natasha Novak 6-1, 6-3 in straight sets to give Dayton the ninth win of the season. DeMarco finished the match for Dayton, winning the last two sets as well against Meredith Lee for a three-set win 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 in the sixth singles flight.
 
Dayton will come home for Senior Weekend, starting with a pair of matches on Saturday, April 2 against Western Kentucky. The first match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg.
