MIAMISBURG, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day with a win over Eastern Illinois. The Flyers shut out the Panthers 7-0 with all three seniors,

Will Harper, and
Steven Karl each picking up wins in singles play.

The Flyers improve to 7-5 with the win, while Eastern Illinois falls to 1-13 on the season. Dayton opened the match by taking the doubles point. Harper and junior
Connor Bruce won at the No. 2 doubles flight 6-3 over Pau Riera and Charles Courteau. Karl and sophomore
Ronit Hiryur put Dayton up 1-0 with a win on Court Three 6-2. DeMarco and junior
Max DeCurtins had the lead in No. 1 doubles as well, but the set was stopped after the Flyers clinched the doubles point.

Dayton took that momentum into singles play winning all six singles matches against the Panthers. Bruce took the match on Court One over Leighton Brandon in straight sets winning 6-2, 6-0. It marked the 11
th win on the season for Bruce which puts him in second on the Flyers behind Hiryur, who won his 12
th match of the season on Saturday 6-4, 6-3 in No. 2 singles.

Harper won his match on Court Three in straight sets as well, winning 6-2, 6-2 against Cameron Slabbert of EIU. Freshman
Eric Perkowski won in three sets in the fourth singles flight. Karl and DeMarco wrapped up the scoring with wins on Court Five and Court Six. Karl won in straight sets over Pau Riera and DeMarco took a three-setter against Thomas Wallace.

The Flyers will finish Senior Week on Sunday with matches against Saint Francis and Findlay. Dayton will play Saint Francis at 9 a.m. and Findlay at 3 p.m.
