Women's Tennis Drops Saturday Match Against Murray State

Laura Greb Picked Up Two Wins In The Loss

MIAMISBURG, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's tennis team fell 6-1 at home to Murray State on Saturday afternoon at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg. Freshman Laura Greb picked up a pair of victories in singles and doubles play in the loss for the Flyers.

Dayton falls to 6-6 on the season, while Murray State improves to 5-4. The Flyers opened the match dropping a close battle for the doubles point. Greb and junior Erica Wojcikiewicz beat Annika Pschorr and Stasya Sharapova 6-3 in the top doubles flight for their fourth straight win as a doubles pair, but Murray State took the other two sets to take a 1-0 lead.

Greb also represented the team's lone win in singles play, taking down Natalie Slezakova in No. 4 singles 6-1, 5-7, 10-3 to win her eighth singles match of the season, which is tied for the most on the Flyers with fellow freshman Neena Katauskas and junior Elizabeth Hamilton.

Murray State took the other five singles flights against the Flyers, but Dayton will return for a match against Saint Francis on Sunday at noon at South Regency.
