MIAMISBURG, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's tennis team took down Saint Francis on Sunday afternoon at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg. The Flyers took the doubles point and four of six singles matches to get the win over the Red Flash.

The Flyers move back over .500 with the win and sit at 7-6 this season, while Saint Francis falls to 6-10. Dayton already has their highest win total since the 2017-18 season with over a month remaining.

UD started the match by taking all three doubles sets from Saint Francis to grab the early lead. Junior

Laura Greb won their fifth straight doubles match in the top doubles flight over Dominique Yeo and Anoek Pruijmboom 6-2.

Paige Kompa took No. 2 doubles 6-2 as well over Marie Discini and Valeria Vinces. Sophomore

Jordan Mitchell completed the doubles sweep in the third doubles flight winning 6-3 over Bente Vandeputte and Romina Cutipa.

Dayton carried that momentum into singles play, with Hamilton taking the second doubles win over Pruijmboom 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 for her ninth singles win of the season. Greb won her third singles match in a row as well, matching Hamilton's nine singles victories, which leads the team. The freshman won over Bente Vandeputte in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

DeMarco won her second match of the season in straight sets as well, beating Romina Cutipa in No. 4 singles 6-3, 6-2.

Mitchell finished the scoring for Dayton in the fifth singles flight, battling after dropping the first set to take set two. The freshman also came back from a 5-2 deficit in the third set to win 7-5 and win her third match as a rookie.

The Flyers will take next weekend off and travel to Charleston, S.C. to take on a pair of conference opponents the following weekend, beginning with Massachusetts on Friday, March 18 at 1 p.m.
