Box Score DAVIDSON, N.C. – The University of Dayton men's tennis team won a close Atlantic 10 battle over Davidson on Friday afternoon 4-3. Freshman
Eric Perkowski clinched the win for the Flyers in the fifth singles flight.
The Flyers improve to 13-6 overall and 3-0 in Atlantic 10 play. Davidson falls to 5-10, 0-1 against conference opponents.
Dayton got on the board first, taking the doubles point against the Wildcats. Senior

Ronit Hiryur 6-4 over Nico Pinzon and Juan Camilo Perez Gongora in No. 3 doubles. Davidson took the win on Court Two, leaving it up to senior
Will Harper and junior
Connor Bruce on the top doubles court. The pair put the Flyers up 1-0 with a win over Udday Singh and Alejandro Solares 7-6.
Bruce followed that up with a win in the top singles flight over Solares again. The junior won 6-3, 7-5 in No. 1 singles for his 16
th win of the year, tying Hiryur for the team lead. Redshirt senior
Steven Karl also picked up a win for the Flyers. It marked the 65
th career singles win for Karl, putting him in sole possession of eighth place in program history.
The Wildcats got wins in No. 2, 3, and 4 singles, leaving it up to Perkowski on Court Five for the win. The freshman dropped the first set 6-3 before battling to win the second set by the same score bringing it to the final frame, where Perkowski defeated Sam Kavarana 6-2 to clinch the third A-10 win of the season for the Flyers.
The Flyers will return on Saturday to take on Richmond, also at Davidson Tennis Courts in a neutral-site match against the Spiders.
