COLUMBUS, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's soccer team defeated South Carolina Sunday afternoon, 4-2, clinching the 2022 Ohio State Wolstein Classic Championship.
The Flyers (2-0-0) keep their strong start going while the Gamecocks (0-1-1) still sit winless.

Manny Day earned All-Tournament Team, while freshman
Casper Svendby picked up accolades as well.
KEY MOMENT
- 51st minute – Dayton scored in the 51st minute and added the third goal just seven minutes later to take a commanding 3-0 lead.

- Ajago became the sixth Flyer to score in just the second game of the season in the opening minutes.
- Adedokun had a team-high two assists in the game.
- Sanchez had three shots while freshman Joseph Melto Quiah had a team-high five attempts in the contest.
- Dayton out-shot South Carolina 20-6 and put nine on target.
- Fouls were 18-8 in favor of the Flyers.

Dennis Currier. "We were relentless in the attack and generated consistent chances throughout the game. It is great to get two wins to start the season."
